Beyoncé will perform during this year’s National Football League Christmas Series, the singer and Netflix announced this weekend.
Her performance at the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game is expected to be the first live performance to include songs from her seminal country album, “Cowboy Carter.”
“While details of her performance are under wraps, Beyoncé is expected to host special guests who appear on the album Cowboy Carter,” Netflix, which will air the NFL Christmas Series, said in a statement. Notable artists on the album include Shaboozey, Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Linda Martell and Post Malone.
Netflix will air both NFL Christmas games this year, as well as the second between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers. Beyoncé is no stranger to the NFL: She headlined Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 in New Orleans and performed at the 2016 championship game with Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
The 43-year-old singer recently became the most Grammy-nominated artist of all time, and she leads the list of Grammy-winning artists this season with 11 nominations.
Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone will headline the Coachella 2025 music and art festival, organizers announced Wednesday, while Travis Scott will be a special guest.
Missy Elliott, Charli XCX and Megan Thee Stallion will also be performing at the massive event in the California desert that kicks off the music festival circuit. Coachella takes place over two three-day weekends in the spring, this year April 11-13 and April 18-20.
The lineup announcement comes months ahead of schedule, a day after Post Malone fell out of favor with his own tour schedule, revealing he would be performing during the festival’s scheduled Indio date. Scott’s performance will come four years after he was scheduled to be part of the 2020 edition of the festival, which was later cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
South African Tyla will perform at the 2025 edition after pulling out last year due to injury. Other notable artists include renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, as well as the return of Brazilian singer Anitta and electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk.
Last year, Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat and Tyler, the Creator headlined the festival. There’s also a special reunion show from No Doubt.
Taylor Swift is also a big presence in the San Jacinto Mountains-esque field in 2024 – though she’s a performer, not a performer.
